Well, there are some “do’s” and “don’ts”. Whatsoever, sometimes knowing what not to do is more practical, isn’t it?

I will dive right into the list to make it clear.

Do not start with “I graduated from Yildiz Technical University”.
(It’s seems not cool at all. It won’t work with narrator voice and it is boring. Also, obviously not to think about to start with “I’m Furkan”, It is more then boring.)

Do not try to write it in a single day.

Do not plagiarize.
(Usually reader might sense it. Plus, you don’t need to do that.)

Do not try to explain and indicate everything in your CV.
(The reader already have your CV and you don’t need to repeat it. Repeating every details in your CV usually would bad for narrator voice.)

Do not use intentionally fancy word.
(It seems not natural and you should seek to be fluent.)

Do not repeat yourself again.
(Let’ say, If you have mentioned about your hackathon success already, probably it’s enough.)

Do not mention two pages long how you love painting while wanting to enroll science program.
(They might think maybe you should try art, not this, isn’t it?)

Do not tell extremely common stories.
